But every feature doesn’t come in easy, working on less data in Messenger. As far as texting is concerned, the messenger app won’t let you down in that and you can send or receive texts easily, even on a slow internet connection. But the same messenger could disappoint you when you try to send pictures or small gifs, videos, recording or media in any sort. When you have a slower internet connection, the app lacks swiftness and can’t let you send your favorite things faster.
The Beta testers and users of this app are already trying out this new feature in messenger and are getting a new option in the settings of the application, allowing them to turn on the data savings for the app. Till now, this feature is only available for Android phones only. However after complete testing, iOS users may it on their phones too.
- This feature only works on messengers made for Android (yet).
- It will manually allow you to download images and videos sent by others to you.
- When you’re connected to Wi-Fi, media will be downloaded automatically.
You can wait till Facebook officially launches this application on Google Play Store. The app is still under testing and is expected to release soon.
