What is really holding you while really surfing the internet at high speeds? Well you all may have your particular reasons but let’s keep in mind that when the company is making a smartphone, they keep in mind that they have limited the resources and some settings to normal, keeping the general users in mind. And this time, we are talking about the OnePlus 3/3T.
Sometimes, your phones may be restricted the access to some of the settings that the company doesn’t really want you to mess you up, sometimes the tweaks are made in such a way that you need to be satisfied with that the device offers. And same goes for the OnePlus 3/3T too.
And this time, we are talking about doubling the WiFi Speed of your OnePlus 3/3T under certain conditions that we will be sharing shortly. Just note that your device needs to have root access and that’s all. We thank XDA for sharing such a wonderful piece of info with us.
How to double the WiFi speed of your OnePlus 3/3T:
Now if a post from XDA member dreinulldrei is to believe, then we have the info that the WiFi configuration used in the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T is the default which is provided by Qualcomm itself. But as per the sources provided, the default configuration disabled the channel bonding in the 2.4GHz frequency and you may need to know that 5GHz frequency networks have channel bonding enabled but if your router is limited to 2.4GHz frequency, then go on and try this method.
By turning on the bonding, the wireless output should significantly get doubled. This method is easy to implement and all you need to do is modify one line in WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini which you can easily find in system/etc/wifi.
