Well pretty far, if you are already tired of the same old boot logo of your Asus Zenfone 5 and want to change the boot screen, then it’s high time that you start customising your device manually. So let’s tell you how to change the boot logo of Asus Zenfone 5.
However before we begin, please note that it is not a boot animation, rather it is the splash screen i.e. the Asus logo when the device is turned on. And please note that your device needs to be rooted for this purpose.
Before we begin, we just want to make sure that you are holding it onto yourself and we are not supposed to be held responsible if any damage is occurred to your device. So please, proceed with caution. We also recommend that you keep your files backed up before beginning this procedure.
- Asus Zenfone 5 (Running on any ROM, yet rooted)
- A custom recovery or Terminal Emulator
Download the stock_splash.bin zip file from here > Download here
Steps change the boot logo of Asus Zenfone 5:
Method 1: To Flash from Recovery
Firstly, transfer the splash.zip (link is present above) to your device and from TWRP or CWM or any custom recovery that you have in your phones.
Method 2: Flash the terminal emulator
All you need to do is just extract the ‘splash.bin’ from zip file and transfer it to the splash.bin to your device’s internal storage. Right after that, we need you to open the terminal emulator and enter the following code:
dd if=/sdcard/splash.bin of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/splash
Method 3: Flash the fastboot mode
fastboot flash splash splash.bin
fastboot flash splashscreen splash.bin
